What is a good rifle scope for a reasonable price?

Question: I am looking to spend about $200 on a decent rifle scope for a bolt-action Model 700 SPS Remington 30-06 rifle. It will be used for hunting hogs and deer. I have no idea what to get and would like your advice. Thanks!

Answer: As a Dealer and Hunter myself I would recommend the following Scopes that will be decent (Mid-Ranged Scopes- price-wise) and give you good quality and accuracy.. Burris, Nikon, Simmons and Bushnell all are decent mid-range Scopes that will work fine on your 30-06 rifle. Tasco scopes will work if you don't buy an inexpensive one.. The Scopes to avoid at ANY cost are: Barska & N.C Star Brand Scopes(Both Chinese Junk) The best advice I can give you is this. A Scope is one of those items that is not only important, but you need to know that you will get exactly what you pay for. Buy Cheap, Get Cheap... Buy decent quality, get decent quality. There are many brands of scopes on the market, Leupold being an industry leader in optic's. I'm not saying you have to spend the high dollars on a Leupold, but this is something to consider later on once you've gotten some experience. Get yourself a good 3-9X Power Variable Scope. That will handle the ranges your 30-06 can shoot. Best of luck whatever you choose!
